Safeguarding

At Worlingham CEVC Primary School we are committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of every child.

Safeguarding is the responsibility of all staff, governors, and volunteers; we all share in this commitment to safeguard our pupils. All staff are trained in Safeguarding, and this is updated regularly.

We listen to our pupils, taking what they say seriously. Staff training has enabled them to identify signs of harm and know to report these to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

The school has a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment. Where it is necessary to share information with other agencies, procedures are established for this to happen.

Parents will be kept informed of any concerns regarding their child first, before any referrals are made, unless we have reason to believe that in doing so will be contrary to the child’s welfare.

All staff and volunteers have been trained in the Government’s Prevent Agenda to counter the radicalisation of pupils.
